The Laurel Ridge Association Water System dates back to 1979. It was managed by the subdivision developer, Wallace Worley, until it was transferred to the Laurel Ridge Association, Inc. in 2011. The water system consists of wells, pumps, storage tanks, and treatment facilities in addition to the network of pipes, valves, and joints that comprise the water delivery system.
In the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023, American Water Specialties from Cleveland, GA worked to upgrade the water system facilities to include a filtration system as well as bringing a second well on-line. New booster pumps were installed to serve users along the elevated portions of Long Laurel Ridge Drive.
The system currently services 46 homes on Long Laurel Ridge Drive and Clear View Trail, and it meets standards mandated by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division for Community Water Systems.
